A Horncastle holiday retreat has been awarded the VisitEngland Recognition Of Service Excellence (ROSE) award for its customer focused approach to tourism.
Greetham Retreat Holidays was presented with the accreditation for going the ‘extra mile’ and offering excellent customer service to guests.
It is the only self catering business in Lincolnshire to receive the award.
Owners Rob and Jeanette Folwell started the business by converting a redundant barn into five self-catering holiday lets.
Nominations for the award are triggered following the annual VisitEngland quality assessment visit. Observations made by the assessor are considered by a judging panel, alongside online customer reviews.
Rob said: “Winning the award was a complete surprise. We love meeting people and personalising their experience of the area.
“We greet every guest and as well as talking them through the entire property and showing them how everything works, we like to tailor our local recommendations based on their interests.”
