Grimsby law firm marks 40 years in business

This story is over

Bridge McFarland Solicitors marked 40 years of providing legal services in North East Lincolnshire with the opening of a refurbished office in Wellowgate.

Founded by John Bridge in 1976, the firm opened its second branch in Lincoln in 1983.

In 1990, the firm merged with McFarland and Co, bringing together lawyers Paddy McFarland, John Bridge and six other partners to create Bridge McFarland Solicitors.

The firm eventually expanded and moved to 19 South St Mary’s Gate in 1994, opening a second Grimsby based office in Wellowgate in 2008.

Bridge McFarland now has offices in Grimsby, Hull, Lincoln, Louth, Market Rasen, Mablethorpe and London and is considered one of the largest law firms in Lincolnshire, East Yorkshire and the Humber regions with 24 partners and 144 members of staff.

Stephen Lambert, Senior Partner at Bridge McFarland, said: “2016 marks a celebratory year for Bridge McFarland. The firm has continued to flourish in what has been a turbulent market over the past 40 years.

“The legal industry has changed dramatically from when the firm first opened in 1976 and Bridge McFarland has and will continue to adapt to these changes, providing the same level of advice and reassurance that our clients need to help them navigate their personal and business matters.”
