Lincoln Big Chinese Takeaway returns to improve business relationships with China

This story is over

The Big Chinese Takeaway will return for a second year to celebrate ties between Lincolnshire’s businesses and education facilities with China.

The event will take place on January 26 at Deans Sports and Leisure centre at Lincoln College.

It will look at opportunities for businesses in terms of trade and investment to and from China in light of its 13th Five Year Plan.

It will also look at the context and role of the Midlands Engine as part of the driver for growth, not only for Lincolnshire businesses in China, but also those from the wider economic area.

Speakers at The Big Chinese Takeaway 2 include representatives from Lincoln College Group, Department for International Trade (DIT), China Britain Business Council (CBBC), Lincolnshire County Council, James Dawson/Fenners Plc, NatWest Bank and Glitter Lips.

James Pinchbeck, Marketing Partner for Streets Chartered Accountants, said: “Building on the resounding success of the event last year, which celebrated the start of the Chinese New Year, the evening will seek to profile businesses and organisations from across the county engaged with China.

“On a more regional basis we will be looking at the role the Midlands Engine can play in supporting the development of commerce and trading links.

“Once again, as part of the cultural celebration and links with the county we delegates will have the chance to enjoy an authentic Chinese Buffet and to celebrate the new Chinese Year, being the year of the Rooster.”
