Lincoln gym in line for £450K revamp after brand takeover

This story is over

A Lincoln gym has been rebranded under new ownership, following a £451,000 investment.

Charitable social enterprise Greenwich Leisure Ltd (GLL) has bought eight Fitspace gyms across the country including the Lincoln branch on Tritton Road and is to transform them under the Better Gym brand.

The Lincoln investment will see a complete refurbishment of the facility, including replacing all of the equipment such as cardio and resistance, a functional area and free weights.

GLL has kept all current staff on and is hoping to create additional jobs in the future.

In addition, the company has maintained the monthly cost of £12.99 but have removed the requirement for members to sign long-term contracts.

Joe Rham, GLL’s Strategic Regions Co-Ordinator said: “GLL is very pleased to be extending its Better Gym network into Lincoln.

“We believe our social enterprise model gives our customers significant advantages over private sector gym providers as we engage with the whole community to get more people more active more often.

“We’re currently working on significant investment plans to improve the facilities at Better Gym Lincoln and look forward to sharing these with our customers in due course.”
