Big Debate: How apprenticeships can benefit business

The next Big Debate, hosted by the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) will focus on the benefits of taking on apprentices.

From April 6, employers with an annual pay bill of more than £3 million have to pay an Apprenticeship Levy each month, charged at 0.5% of their annual pay bill, however the event is aimed at businesses who are not required to pay this and want to find out more about taking on an apprentice.

Business representatives will have the opportunity to find out about the positive impact apprentices can have in the workplace and have questions answered by a panel of experts.

Those attending will also learn more about the apprenticeship grant for employers and have the opportunity to network.

The debate will take place at the New Life Centre on Mareham Lane in Sleaford on Thursday, March 2 and a second event will be held at the Lincolnshire Showground, north of Lincoln on March 24.

Both events run from 9am until 11.30am.
