New £400k Heckington Lincolnshire Co-op pharmacy to open next month

This story is over

A new Lincolnshire Co-op pharmacy in Heckington is set to open on April 1, following a £400,000 investment.

The society has converted the former newsagents on the High Street and will be moving Heckington Pharmacy into the new premises.

The new site will provide better access, extra parking and features a bigger consultation room, seating and dispensing area.

The current pharmacy on High Street will close as normal at 6pm on Friday, March 31.

Work has included demolishing parts of the former newsagents to create a bigger pedestrian footpath to the Lincolnshire Co-op food store adjacent to the site, as well as widen vehicle access to the car park.

Lincolnshire Co-op’s head of pharmacy Alastair Farquhar said: “
The new outlet will not only offer NHS services such as medication use reviews, new medicine service, flu vaccinations and smoking cessation, but we will also be offering health checks, prescription collection from local surgeries and a delivery service.

“The move will also bring our pharmacy and food store closer together. We hope this will create a convenient hub for shoppers and members.”
