Ringrose Law promoted and relocated Costa Kyriacou to the Head of the Child Social Care Department at the firm’s Lincoln office.
Costa joined Ringrose Law in 2012, undertaking his training contract at the firm’s Boston & Spalding offices.
He has a wide experience in representing parents, intervenors, grandparents, children and extended family members in a range of cases relating to children.
He now exclusively practices in cases where Children’s Services have issued proceedings against parents seeking a removal of children to place them into foster care, with other family members or for them to be adopted.
Costa regularly represents clients in a range of cases from child fatalities, drug and alcohol abuse and domestic abuse.
He said: “This is a great challenge for me to build on and work with our existing family team here at Lincoln. I have worked on many complex care cases involving children and Social Services, and have extensive knowledge and experience in such matters. Heading up the Child Social Care Department is a fantastic opportunity for me personally.”
Costa has also worked in a number of other areas of law, which interlink with Child Social Care cases. He has been Head of Housing Law, a Law Society Accredited Police Station Representative and also has experience in mental health law and general family law.
