Businesses help schools create Lincoln Knights’ Education Trail

Businesses across Lincoln have come together to help create the Lincoln Knights’ Education Trail.

Some 45 Lincoln Knights’ Education Trail sculptures were unveiled to more than 100 special guests at a special preview event held at The EBP’s Lincoln head office on June 13.

Working in partnership with Lincoln BIG and Wild in Art, The EBP signed up more than 40 primary, secondary and special schools from all over Lincolnshire for the arts project.

All of the participating schools designed and decorated their own half sized knight sculptures.

The EBP gained sponsorship for the project from Waterside Shopping Centre and Siemens, with Ruddocks also providing print support.

Lincoln BIG Chief Executive Matt Corrigan said: “As organisers of the Lincoln Knights’ Trail, we are delighted to have had the exciting opportunity to work closely with The EBP.

“The Lincoln Knights’ Trail, which saw 36 full-sized Knights installed around the city on May 20, is already proving a huge attraction for local people and visitors and we are confident that there will be an even bigger buzz when their “junior cousins” arrive in the city centre.”
