Health and Safety Executive launches investigation after employee dies at Lincolnshire quarry

An investigation has been launched by the Health and Safety Executive after an employee died at a quarry near Grantham yesterday.

Richard Marjoram, 57, died following an industrial accident involving a HGV lorry at Stainby Quarry in Buckminster.

The incident happened at around 11am on July 3 at the site on Crabtree Road.

The 57-year-old employee was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the time of writing it is unknown whether Marjoram worked for Stainby Quarry or was contracted.

Lincolnshire Police and the Health and Safety Executive have now launched a joint investigation into the incident.
