A new Lidl store has officially opened in Gainsborough, creating 20 new jobs.
The new store on Beaumont Street officially opened its doors for the first time to customers at 8am on Thursday, December 7, replacing the existing store on Ropery Road.
In addition to the ribbon cutting, Lidl offered customers the chance to sample some of its products.
The sustainable store, with 1,424m² sales area, includes an in-store bakery, longer-style tills with dual packing, customer toilets, baby changing and ample parking for both cars and bicycles.
Angela Lawrence, Chairman for West Lindsey District Council, who officially opened the store, told Lincolnshire Business: “I think the new store is fabulous, they have made a terrific job of it and it is in a great location.
“Lidl has become a really popular supermarket chain and it’s lovely that it has moved to a central location and gives us a nice car park.”
