Businesses across Lincolnshire are being urged to take advantage of a new grant scheme to contribute to the cost of a strategic review from chartered accountants Duncan & Toplis.
The Lincolnshire Growth Hub Business Growth Grant is primarily aimed at the business to business (B2B) sector and will prioritise companies which specialise in food and drink production, manufacturing and engineering, transport and logistics, the visitor economy, healthcare and renewables.
Grants are divided into small and large categories.
Small grants are between £500 and £2,999 with 50% of the project cost being provided by the business and 50% by the grant.
The large grants are between £3,000 and £10,000 with 70% of the project cost being provided by the business and 30% by the grant.
The leading East Midlands firm offers a Business Improvement and Growth Acceleration (BIGA) service which comprises a comprehensive independent review of a business’ operations resulting in a bespoke report and clear strategy to guide the business forward.
Damon Brain, Director at Duncan & Toplis said: “This is a chance for businesses who have been harbouring ambitions to grow to finally grasp the nettle and make that change right from the start of 2017.
“If there are ways to do things differently in your business, or opportunities to launch new products and services then this could be the way to proceed.
“The reviews typically cost between £1,500 and £3,000, however the return on investment could prove to be significantly more.”
Alison Rex, who leads the BIGA reviews, said: “The grant is aimed at businesses trading for more than 12 months who want to expand and bring new products or services to market or create two or more jobs.
“It can also be used to bring something new to the business. This could take the form of a large purchase or operational improvements.”
