Fitness buffs will be able to find a new style of workout when the latest gym in Lincoln officially opens its doors on April 1, following a £500,000 investment.
Located above Zizzi’s on the Brayford, The Fitness Space was founded by ex-Team GB athlete Tim Benjamin.
Some of the equipment has now been installed and staff have welcomed Olympic gold medalist hockey player, Georgie Twigg on Sunday afternoon to have a look around the new venue.
Staff are now waiting for final deliveries and are about to have a week of training in preparation of the opening.
The gym also offers a unique service, which will test members DNA to provide specialist insight into what works best for them in terms of recovery; training methods and diet.
Savvas Zamboglou, owner of The Fitness Space in Lincoln, said: “The Fitness Space was founded by ex-Team GB athlete Tim Benjamin who became a Personal Trainer and successful gym owner after retirement from athletics due to injury.
“It is from Tim’s athletic background, that DNAFit can be very beneficial for those that want to gain a real insight into their body type; allergies and training. We can then tailor a specific training plan around that detailed information which makes the member journey to getting those results quicker and easier!
“The visit from Georgie Twigg went amazingly well. She was very down to earth.
“It’s amazing to have a local gold medalist to come and test the Technogym range. She was very keen and I think she was very keen to try the Hot Yoga.
“It was very positive, she has brought a lot of energy to the business.”
