Lincoln restaurant to open city’s first dining igloos

People looking for a new Lincoln dining experience will soon get the chance to cosy up in a rooftop igloo looking out onto the city’s castle and cathedral.

Lincoln TapHouse and Kitchen on St Paul’s Lane will be launching the two new heated domes next week, available to hire from Friday, January 19.

The two domes will be similar to those pictured at a bar on the Thames in London.

The three-and-a-half metre wide dining and party venues are made from timber and clear PVC and come complete with sheepskin blankets and built in heaters.

They will sit on the roof terrace of the Lincoln Taphouse and Kitchen with views of iconic Lincoln attractions.

Patrons of the domes will be served an exclusive gin cocktail range and an a la carte menu.

The cost of hiring the domes has not yet been announced.
